UK, Aberdeen, 31st May 2021 – ZynQ 360, a pioneer and global leader in Visual Asset Management, announced major advances to its world-leading visualisation software and the launch of their new licensing model, which will make the adoption of their solution seamless—dramatically accelerating digital transformation across any industry.
With significant upgrades, the release of their latest software version, ‘ZynQ’, brings a reimagined and more intuitive user interface, improved usability, increased performance and simplified technology integration.
As remote operations are becoming more and more critical to any organisation looking to ensure organisational resilience, the cloud-based digital transformation hub, ZynQ, enables customers to effectively access, manage and share their assets’ visualisation data from anywhere at any time. This allows the digitalisation of planning and management of operations across a wide range of industries, improving processes and the remote working experience.
“People are working remotely more than ever, and this new release of our software makes it possible to bring an oil rig, refinery or any asset into your remote working space, whether this is an office, home or on the road,” said ZynQ 360’s Innovation Manager – Chani Tough
ZynQ 360 offers a wide range of flexibility in the purchase, design, and use of the software solution, thanks to a new subscription-based, feature-rich licensing model.
The reimagined platform will provide users with access to advanced features and extensible architecture, enabling them to support and integrate new technologies into their existing ecosystems.
“Clients are accelerating their digital transformation by leveraging the power of cloud computing, visualisation data, and the integration of third-party technologies. Combined with new flexible commercial options, we are enabling strong financial returns and business value for users.” commented Brian Milne– Technical Director of ZynQ 360

Today, most industries are facing massive disruption, and a lack of data visibility and travel restrictions to assets has led to difficulties. Any modification or update to projects hosted within ZynQ is done in real-time, providing rapid and reliable visualisation of data across any company, no matter the size.
“Our team’s primary objective is to go above and beyond our clients’ expectations in delivering our world-class Software and services. Key to this is the comprehensive understanding of our client’s requirements and fulfilling those requirements safely, effectively and on time. This is especially important in times like these where many companies are experiencing the impact of the financial downturn caused by COVID-19,” concluded Rob Smith, Head of ZynQ 360 Americas Region

How It Helped Create SQL Injections and Malware
In the early days of ChatGPT, a popular chatbot tool developed by OpenAI, the potential for vulnerabilities was a major concern. The chatbot was designed to generate human-like responses to user input using machine learning algorithms trained on a large dataset of text. However, as with any software that processes user-generated content, there was a risk that ChatGPT could be used to create harmful content. Early on, some users even asked about creating homemade bombs, but the ease with which almost anyone could produce SQL injection or malware poses also a significant threat, as it allowed for widespread access to potential damage.

The Risk of Malicious Content
To address vulnerabilities, the OpenAI development team has designed safety measures in place to mitigate the risk of it being used to create malicious content such as SQL injections or malware. These attacks involve injecting code into a website or application to access sensitive data or disrupt normal functioning. One of the safety measures is a filter that blocks certain types of input, like code or scripting languages, from being processed by the chatbot. Furthermore, they improved the input filter to block malicious content better, as well as introduced a whitelist system that only allows approved content to be processed by the bot.
However, like any filter, there is a risk that it could be bypassed by a determined attacker.

Additionally, since the API is freely accessible, individuals with IT expertise could easily create a version that enables less knowledgeable users to carry out such attacks. If OpenAI is unable to prevent all attempts at unauthorized access, and more and more people are able to utilize the chatbot for malicious purposes easily, it would be wise to implement additional security measures for the servers.

An Effective Approach to this Vulnerability

We have reached a point where it is uncertain when another widely available and popular AI-powered chatbot or any other technology that can cause harm if it falls into the wrong hands will appear, regardless of whether the OpenAI team is able to solve this better or not.

Despite the potential risks, AI technology can be used for a variety of positive purposes. One example is BitNinja, which uses the power of AI to detect and prevent malware.
Their malware scanner is not only an industry-leader solution, but it also continuously improves through the use of AI technology. Recently, the developers were able to optimize the scanner to not only be highly effective but also significantly faster, resulting in a 90% increase in scanning speed.

In addition to their malware scanning capabilities, BitNinja also offers solutions to protect against SQL injection attacks. This includes a recently developed database scanner as well as a Web Application Firewall (WAF) module that is specifically designed to defend against the most prevalent CMS attacks.

This combination of AI-powered scanners and the WAF module provides comprehensive protection against SQL injection and other web-based attacks.

Summary

While there were concerns about potential vulnerabilities of ChatGPT in the early days, the development team at OpenAI worked to address these issues and improve the security of the platform.

However, with the rise of AI technology, cyber-attacks are becoming more sophisticated and harder to detect, and the number of cyber attacks continues to escalate. Therefore it is increasingly important for server owners and hosting providers to have a reliable server security strategy in place. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is by utilizing an all-in-one SaaS tool such as BitNinja
Not only is this solution easy to implement, but it is also cost-efficient and can help protect against a wide range of potential threats effectively. Utilizing advanced AI technology, BitNinja can stay ahead of the curve in detecting and preventing cyber attacks, thus helping to ensure that servers remain secure in the long run.
