Romco Group and Elemental Holding Start Partnership in African Metals Recycling

LONDON, UK. August 22nd, 2024 – Romco Group and Elemental Group have agreed to form a partnership in metals recycling in Africa. The partnership will accelerate and diversify Romco’s existing growth plans and reinforce its position as a key player in the global metals recycling industry.

The partnership will combine Romco’s and Elemental’s expertise and resources in the collection, pre-processing, smelting, and trading of recycled base and precious metals. The partners will expand Elemental’s existing business in spent auto-catalyst recycling, e-waste recycling and battery recycling to Africa, while accelerating expansion of Romco’s existing aluminium and copper recycling operations. Romco has a strong established presence in West Africa which will serve as an initial base for the partnership.

Combining resources from both partners, Romco and Elemental will aim to deliver the most green and sustainable base and precious metals in the world to its customers, using best-in-class ESG standards. The partnership will initially focus on the production of aluminium, copper, platinum group metals and by-products such as gold and silver.

Zero Touch Provisioning Solution for Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) Developed By Intraway and BISDN

UNITED STATES, 17th May 2023 – Intraway, a leading global provider of Operations Support Systems (OSS) no-code cloud-native provisioning solutions, and BISDN, an information services company focused on network virtualization and SDN integration into whitebox hardware, have successfully collaborated on a XGS-PON Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) solution for FTTH. This solution is built upon their respective Symphonica and pOLTA products. Operators can seamlessly leverage ZTP to reduce the cost and complexity of commissioning and provisioning of new high-speed data services to their customers.

Multi-vendor automation is supported by the orchestration capabilities of Symphonica and the standards-based interface exposed by pOLTA. With Intraway’s core software, Symphonica, operators can easily define new workflows in a fully graphical user interface (“no-code”).

Essential service provisioning and activation has now been implemented in collaboration between the two companies. This comprises activate, suspend, resume, bandwidth modify, and delete functions. Both companies also join forces in integration of Symphonica into existing OSS/BSS systems and hardware environments.

pOLTA (pluggable OLT abstraction) is a cloud-based provisioning tool for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services developed by BISDN. pOLTA simplifies the integration of both PON and switch hardware components from different vendors to be abstracted and exposed as an OLT device to avoid vendor lock-in. pOLTA provides a standardized northbound interface (NBI) to access network and service orchestrators based on BBF TR-383/TR-385. London, UK (August 30, 2023) – Innovative climate tech firm Thallo today announces a new registry integration with ICROA-endorsed SOCIALCARBON, a long-established standard setter that focuses on nature-based solutions with measurable social, environmental and economic benefits to local communities.

SOCIALCARBON is the third registry to connect into Thallo’s two-way carbon bridge, an innovative piece of infrastructure that allows carbon credits from a registry to be moved securely onto and off a public blockchain. UNITED STATES, 22 June 2023 – Intraway, the leader in No-Code, SaaS Activation, Provisioning and Multi-Domain Orchestration, today announced a partnership with Prodapt, the largest and fastest-growing specialized firm in the Connectedness industry, to jointly offer pure cloud SaaS service activation and orchestration solutions to accelerate digital transformation efforts of service providers.

Prodapt, with its deep telecom network domain expertise and integration capabilities, will simplify the development and deployment of the BSS/OSS stacks of integration operators through a cloud-native approach.
