PHOENIX, AZ, USA. April 23rd, 2025Resilient Software Security, the enterprise SaaS and blockchain cybersecurity provider founded in 2022 by software security and engineering experts who’ve led teams at Cisco, Autodesk and McAfee, announces its merger with cybertech startup Rezliant AI.

Rezliant Inc., the new umbrella entity, gives companies big and small a robust, agile suite of security tools and playbooks to better protect their customers, data and IP. Then Rezliant’s contextual AI scans thousands of flagged vulnerabilities, prioritizes the one to two biggest threats to company operations, and delivers fixes on the fly.

The result is a 99.9% noise reduction in software supply chain security scans, and up to a 40% reduction in time and cost–so that software engineers can focus on accelerating the release of secure, compliant product.

For more than three years, Resilient has serviced enterprise clients including Billups and LogicMark, making it more difficult for threat actors to hack them. As enterprise companies began embracing AI workflows this past year, Damilare Fagbemi, Co-Founder and CEO of Rezliant, Inc., realized AI’s potential in automating security workflows for businesses of all sizes, startup to enterprise.

“Someone falls victim to a cyberattack literally every 39 seconds.1 At the business level, triaging vulnerabilities within complex and fragmented systems based on that type of volume can overwhelm already-understaffed security and software teams,” explains Fagbemi. “We saw an immediate need to streamline the process with a real-time contextual solution that offers turnkey application security strength, transforming software developers into instant software security geniuses.”

Fagbemi and his co-founders launched Rezliant AI in mid-2024 to empower security and software teams with the first platform to harmonize code vulnerabilities, product use cases, corporate security DNA, and the underlying architecture. Rezliant finds and offers prioritized, company-specific code fixes within seconds.
Early results have been dramatic. In one scan of a client’s repos, Rezliant identified nearly 1,600 code and supply chain vulnerabilities. When the client activated Rezliant’s context-aware risk prioritization, those alerts were reduced to zero critical code vulnerabilities and one critical supply chain vulnerability.

“We help our clients prioritize and address only those vulnerabilities that pose a true risk to their repo,” reports Fagbemi. “DevOps teams regain critical hours to build great products faster, and focus on the more complex initiatives that require deep subject matter expertise.”

Fagbemi and his team built the platform in stealth mode in Fall 2024. Within months, they have 55 clients and partners already closed or in the pipeline, ranging from HealthTech, FinTech, and EdTech to SMB SaaS and large enterprises.

SINGAPORE. July 29th, 2024 – Hickey, the innovative dating app known for empowering meaningful connections, proudly announces a significant upgrade to its “Fun Moment” feature. Now, users can share dynamic video clips, in addition to ephemeral photos, capturing their real-time experiences and personalities.
In the past year, the dating industry has witnessed a major shift towards video features, transforming user interactions. Video clips offer a richer, more engaging way to present oneself, fostering deeper, more authentic connections. This trend reflects the growing demand for real-time, visually driven communication, which photos alone cannot fulfill. However, the adoption of video in dating also presents challenges, such as privacy concerns and the potential for misuse, which platforms must address to ensure user safety and trust.
Here’s how Hickey ensures a safe and exciting experience for its users:
  1. Controlled Visibility: Unlike profile photos, Fun Moments (pictures) and Reels (videos) in the Gallery remain veiled until the user chooses to unlock them, enhancing excitement and control.
  2. Self-Destructing Media: No screenshots or downloads are allowed, and unlocked Moments/Reels self-destruct in 10 minutes, ensuring privacy and leaving no concern but fun and spicy interactions.
  3. Robust Safety Measures: Hickey has bolstered its responsiveness to offensive content reports, providing timely responses and implementing a penalty mechanism for abusive accounts.
The release of Fun Reels is the result of dedicated research into user experiences and safety issues, ensuring that the feature not only entertains but also protects.
Since its inception, “Fun Moments” has revolutionized post-match conversations with its playful approach to photo sharing and has become one of Hickey’s hallmark features. With the integration of video clips, users can now convey their dynamic lifestyles and interests more vividly, making every interaction unique and memorable. Early adopters have praised this feature for bringing conversations to life, creating a more immersive online dating experience.
While continuously offering innovative features and updates, the Product Team reminds users to make proper use of the app, as connections with like-minded people are the foundation of a vibrant community. “It’s important to filter the worthwhile ones by shared tags, topics, or the SAVED list,” quoted a staff member. The SAVED list refers to another innovative feature, Flash Chat, aimed at boosting romantic interactions and prioritizing conversations that matter most.
Driven by proactive innovations with the expectation of making dating fun, Hickey App has seen significant growth, engaging more than 1 million mobile users in North America and European countries within the last 12 months.
As Hickey continues to expand its user base, the team ensures that every adjustment and innovation takes into account the needs of different groups. The Fun Reels feature has been officially launched and priced after a period of trial operation, and the product team will further optimize and adjust based on user and market feedback. Considering the privacy and security challenges posed by video gameplay, the team is also considering integrating Hickey with users’ other social accounts to provide a safer and more independent social space.

LONDON, UK. July 8th, 2024 – A ground-breaking technology is now available to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) and significantly improve disease detection and crop prediction.
Known as Inference, and developed by HSAT, this platform combines several established AI technologies into a single platform, including Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Large Language Models. Inference is a breakthrough because it yields a high degree of accuracy: typically 95% accuracy for crop prediction, and over 90% accuracy for disease detection.
This AI-powered solution is already deployed at scale, and has been used on tens of thousands of real-world locations. Inference has been deployed for clients in 6 countries, across 4 continents, to assess tens of thousands of farms.
Its success is due to its predictive accuracy and ease of use, which offer farmers and food producers unprecedented insights into their crops’ health, and the ability to swiftly identify and combat diseases. This capability is highly effective and helps farmers combat a rising tide of crop diseases that are exacerbated by increasing temperatures.
Rob Weston, founder of HSAT said: “The benefits of the Inference technology for the agriculture industry are broad and deep. By leveraging AI for crop prediction and disease detection, farmers, producers and traders can gain a global view of crop health, identify areas of poor irrigation, and create regional and national risk maps.
“The capability is in use by several global food producers and processors. Inference requires no expertise or previous experience, so it is also accessible to any farming operation.
“The demand for reliable disease detection is increasing exponentially. Inference meets this demand head-on, providing farmers the tools they need to make informed decisions and protect their crops against potential threats. Additionally, with daily trading volumes of over $1 trillion in soft commodities, reliable disease detection is a critical requirement for creating accurate crop price predictions.”
HSAT has the ability to orchestrate the capture of thousands of pictures of crops, taken with mobile devices by people who live near the fields, which is known as “ground truth”. HSAT analyses these pictures to detect the risk of disease.
Using geolocation data, each image is mapped and associated with corresponding satellite and weather data.  With this information, HSAT can identify which crops are touched by a disease, build heat maps across entire countries and build large-scale predictive models of national risks.  HSAT can extend its analysis from individual plants to fields, farms, counties, and where useful for larger companies, to the national and global level.
The accuracy of this analysis rests on the thoughtful use of ground truth data and automated analysis. For example, in creating a predictive model for Cocoa plants in Ecuador, Inference processed hundreds of thousands of images to identify the discoloration on pods that is indicative of disease, distinguished these from the appearance of healthy pods, and assigned a risk ranking for any affected zone across the concerned area.
The collection of ground truth data is integral to HSAT’s operations. HSAT has over 2,000 people around the world continually visiting fields and farms. The images are taken with HSAT’s proprietary Tessa phone app, which validates the images and transfers them to HSAT’s systems automatically to be mapped and processed.  The app makes the task so simple that the team of data collectors can be scaled rapidly in any part of the world.
Rob added: “This efficient process yields thousands of pictures of crops in a matter of days, which allows us to rapidly build highly detailed risk maps. This data is then aggregated into HSAT’s proprietary CropGPT platform, which provides clients access to market updates, dashboards, alerts and data feeds.”

MANILA, PHILLIPINESMay 27th, 2024Co-Develop and Ateneo de Manila University announced the launch of the Business Insights Laboratory for Development (BUILD) Centre which will house the Philippine Technical Resource Lab (TRL), an initiative dedicated to strengthening the digital transformation efforts of the Philippines. The TRL will play a pivotal role in the country’s digital transformation journey, supported by various Digital Public Goods (DPGs) including OpenSPP, OpenG2P, Mojaloop, MOSIP, and eGov.
The launch event was honoured by the presence of Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA), signifying a major step forward in fostering an inclusive digital ecosystem in the Philippines. UNSGSA Queen Máxima visited the Philippines for three days to support scaling up safe and affordable financial services for better financial health. The visit focussed on advancing key foundational building blocks for financial inclusion—including connectivity, identification, and digital payments—as well as enhancing financial health and resilience against economic and climate-related challenges for Filipinos. In 2015, she also visited the country for financial inclusion.
The TRL, a joint project between Co-Develop, a global nonprofit fund dedicated to accelerating the adoption of safe and inclusive shared digital public goods, and Ateneo de Manila University’s John Gokongwei School of Management, aims to localise technical capacity and innovation. This initiative will empower Filipino organisations, particularly entrepreneurs, civil society and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), by providing them with the necessary tools, infrastructure, and expertise to enhance their economic competitiveness through advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, behavioural science, financial modelling, and IT applications.
“This initiative is less about technology; and more  about people. It’s about recognising the entrepreneurial spirit of Filipino communities and facilitating their collaborative efforts to contribute to the digital transformation journey of the Philippines.. By leveraging the transformative potential of shared digital infrastructure, we can unlock new opportunities and drive sustainable growth across the nation.,” commented CV Madhukar, CEO of Co-Develop.
Father Roberto Yap SJ, President of Ateneo de Manila University also remarked, “Beyond finance and technology, this initiative will have a ripple effect that will show that financial inclusivity is key not only to economic and social mobility, but also in allowing people to fully participate in addressing issues that confront us – from sustainability to defending democratic spaces, to educational reform, to health, and a lot more.
The partnership between Co-Develop and Ateneo’s John Gokongwei School of Management’s Business Insights Laboratory for Development (BUILD) underscores the importance of shared digital infrastructure in driving digital transformation. BUILD’s focus on advanced and applied data analytics and financial modelling will be instrumental in achieving the TRL’s objectives.

SAO PAULO, BRAZIL. May 15th, 2024 –  Over the years, technology has become an essential part of the business world, with most companies relying on it for services, customer support, payment processing, and more. However, many organizations face a common problem: using legacy systems.

This term refers to the adoption of outdated platforms developed long ago, which are now considered obsolete compared to today’s technological advancements. Issues such as lack of updates, maintenance or replacement difficulties, discontinued technology, and security flaws are common in such cases.

Paulo Azevedo, Head of Enterprise Architecture & Cybersecurity at act digital consultancy, explains that outdated legacy systems hinder business operations and impede expansion. “In a dynamic world, modernizing these systems is crucial and is on the agenda of the majority of CIOs (Chief Information Officers) in large companies,” he states.

Azevedo cites the example of a pharmaceutical industry client who underwent a modernization process with act digital. The company had an internally developed legacy system for new drug control, serving as a fundamental database but becoming outdated and unused over time.

The focus was on addressing problems caused by instabilities and lack of improvements over the years. According to the executive, after modernization, the company’s system became more secure, experienced a 40% increase in bug and fault resolution, and gained 50% in agility.

Modernization Strategies for Legacy Systems

“There are five main strategies for application modernization, commonly referred to as the ‘five Rs’: rehost, refactor, rearchitect, rebuild, and replace,” explains Azevedo.

Rehosting involves “discontinuing obsolete infrastructure” and migrating applications to a new digital environment. Refactoring entails making specific technical improvements.

“The rearchitect strategy focuses mainly on more efficient use of cloud resources, improved security, higher performance, greater scalability, and better resilience. Rebuild involves digital transformation, addressing not only technical aspects but also process improvements focusing on the customer,” as the expert explains.

Finally, there’s the replace strategy, used “when the system falls far short of business needs, and seeking a market solution or building a new application without leveraging legacy is the most economically viable solution.”

Azevedo notes that many companies still see modernization as a cost. In his view, this is a mistake, as the real cost lies in maintaining obsolete platforms that expose the organization to daily risks and lead to market loss. He also highlights the potential of using artificial intelligence (AI) in developing a new system to optimize business activities.

The company now offers various practices and accelerators to streamline the investment required for the modernization process. Azevedo says, “Artificial intelligence (AI) is a strong ally in this process. Its application in understanding functionalities and their impacts through reverse engineering, and its use as an accelerator in developing the new system, optimizes the effort needed for modernization.” The Head concludes, “AI, at the same time, provides greater predictability and accuracy to the process.”
